Top 10 vegan places in Barcelona
Spain is well known for its traditional Jamon Ibérico or its paella. However, it does not stop Barcelona from being one of the most popular vegan capitals in Europe.
In 2016 Barcelona declared itself as a “veg-friendly” city. That is a step forward as the number of vegans and vegetarians in the world is currently increasing. The fact that a huge city such as Barcelona is making efforts to be more into the “veg” culture is a real advantage for its vegan newcomers who do not have a particular affection for meat or animal products.
In Barcelona, almost every restaurant has a vegan option. However here we are going to focus on places specifically made for vegans, where you have a large choice on the menu.
In order to help vegan new-comers in Barcelona or simply to satisfy the curiosity of people who want to try eating vegan in a good place, we selected 10 different vegan-oriented places that you could go to in Barcelona.
Veggie Garden (Gran via – El Raval)
This restaurant located both in Gran Via and El Raval is offering not only a 100% vegan menu but also guarantees that its products are completely natural since it opened in 2011. The meals are mainly inspired by Asian and European dishes, which makes a perfect mix to create their own specialty. Thus, they are really focusing on making a nutritional mix of both “sensations and texture” to make meals as different as possible from other vegan restaurants. In this restaurant, there are many meal choices, including hamburgers, sandwiches or a whole meal, depending on what you would enjoy the most. Furthermore, they offer a large variety of natural juices. Most of the food on the menu does not exceed 10€, which is not very expensive for one of the most popular vegan restaurants in Barcelona.
